What a lovely monday!

Parker and I went to the boys A&M basketball game! We had a lot of fun and Parker got to go on the court and shoot shots for the shooting challenge! He won 10$ to schlotzsky's! He's a balla!

Also, to anyone who knows me or reads my blogs on a regular basis, you would know that I have tried out for choirs at Texas A&M 3 different times and never got in. Well, today I tried out for the woman's choir...and I made it!!!! You are looking at one of the newest rookie members of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Woman's Chorus! Whoop!

No Good News

This semester is not going to go as smoothly as I hoped it would. I went to Organic Chemistry today, and it was normal. I went to my Political Science class, and I feel sort of unsure about that class and how demanding it will be. I also went to my Physics Lab...and now im starting to feel more anxiety about physics. My TA doesn't seem to want to answer my questions...and that is the whole point of lab. I was sort of banking on lab to help me figure out the lecture...but it would seem that I am going to have to end up resorting to some kind of tutoring service before each test. This semester is going to be so hard...

On the bright side, Parker has made me laugh so much recently. He cracks me up sometimes! Its really great to have him around so that I can get through the day. :)

Spring 2010 Begins

Parker decided to try out the earphones I got him for Christmas while at school today...I think he figured out that I got them from the dollar tree...

Today was my first day back to school! I have 3 classes today, and so far I have been to 2 of them. My classes for the day are as follows:
1. Physics
2. Kinesiology (Weight Lifting/Health Class)
3. Entomology (Bug Class)

My physics professor seems...old. And a little rude, but Hes not horrible. My Kinesiology Professor seems young and a little rude, but again, shes not horrible. I havent been to my Entomology class yet, but here's what I do know:
The professor is young, male, and has like 3 degrees from Yale.
Therefore, He is probably also rude.

Hope this semester treats me well...Tomorrow I have Organic Chemistry, Political Science, and Physics Lab. We will see how it goes.

Hogs!

I went out to meme and papa's farm this weekend and ray helped me gut and skin a hog! He even processed the meat for me and let me take home 24 pounds of delicious meat! I am making a powerpoint of all the pictures and organs and such and turning it in to my animal science professor for extra credit :)

Thank you SO much ray!

This week in College Station...

I took my organic chemistry test this week...we will see how well I did on Wednesday. It was pretty challenging.

In my Animal Science lab class, we talked about harvesting animals. We watched a video on slaughtering cattle and swine and it made me feel pretty grossed out...and that is NOT an easy thing to do! It was...pretty realistic.

After the video and lecture, we went into a freezer where there were a 4 different carcasses hanging up, swine and cattle, beheaded and split in half. The whole nine yards!

After this lab, I told Parker that I would not be eating beef for at least 3 days...and right after that I ate beef fajitas. lol! But, they were free! What college student turns down free beef fajitas?! I got to eat them because I went to an extra credit seminar. :)

Robert Spencer King, Jr.

This is a much belated post, but I am glad you are reading it. Please take a few minutes out of your day to pray for the family and friends of Robert King. Pray for peace and love to surround them. Robert was a fellow aggie that passed away on September 9th of this year.
